Alissa Rutkowski is a skilled strategic communicator with expertise in branding, storytelling, event planning, and digital marketing. She combines data-driven decision-making with international collaboration and advocacy to help organizations increase engagement and drive impact.
As Communications Coordinator at the Global Child Nutrition Foundation (GCNF), Alissa helps build messaging and conduct outreach for flagship initiatives like the Global Child Nutrition Forum and the Global Survey of School Meal Programs. She crafts accessible, actionable content that raises awareness about the importance of school meal programs worldwide.
Before joining GCNF, Alissa served as Director of Strategic Initiatives and Membership at the Joint National Committee for Languages and the National Council for Languages and International Studies (JNCL-NCLIS), where she reimagined events, expanded sponsorships, and lobbied for policies supporting multilingualism in the United States.
Alissa is passionate about helping mission-driven teams think deeply about their impact and optimize resources to foster innovation and global partnerships. She holds a BA in Psychology and Communications from Saginaw Valley State University and is currently pursuing her Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential.
Outside of work, Alissa enjoys exploring new cities in search of the world’s best cup of coffee, always with a good book in hand.
